July 18, 2025 – Senator Nick Miller (D-Lehigh-Northampton) announces request for proposals (RFP) is now live of the former Lehigh Valley Dairy Site in Whitehall, PA. In April, Redevelopment Authority of Lehigh County approved this site to move forward for future developers.

“This long-vacant property sits at a vital crossroads between Whitehall and Allentown and holds tremendous potential for regional revitalization,” said Senator Nick Miller. “With the RFP now live, we’re one step closer to turning this key site into a hub of economic activity. I am confident that with support from the state and the Lehigh County Redevelopment Authority, strong community-driven proposals will emerge. These proposals will not only revitalize the site but also deliver lasting benefits for this crucial gateway between Whitehall and Allentown.”

The property includes two adjacent parcels of vacant commercial land located at 1026 MacArthur Road and 845 Sumner Avenue in Whitehall Township. These parcels are viewed as one economic unit and will be marketed collectively.

Lehigh Valley Dairy Site’s RFP

This site was constructed in 1920 and was originally a silk mill that was converted into dairy in 1934. The property remained vacant until EPG demolished it in 2024-2025.

Proposals must be submitting in a sealed envelope marked “Elias Property Group Proposal” and must be received on or before Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 4:00 PM. The submission deadline is September 4, 2025, to the Elias Property Group LLC.
