On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, Senate Democratic Policy Committee Chair Nick Miller along with Senators Judy Schwank and James Malone will host a Policy Hearing Addressing Today’s Challenges in Agriculture and Farming.
As impacted stakeholders navigate emerging threats and face reported challenges such as workforce impacts, disease management, severe weather and skyrocketing input costs, the Committee will receive expert testimony about their needs from the state Dept. of Agriculture’s Secretary Redding and other industry leaders. This hearing will gather feedback on our current state level tools and supports as well as identify forward-looking policy solutions.
This hearing will be held at the Main Capitol Complex, Harrisburg PA 17120 (Room to be determined).
