March 19, 2026 – Senator Nick Miller (D-Lehigh/Northampton) announced today a $250,000 grant to support Lehigh and Northampton counties in strengthening their defenses against cyberattacks, ransomware, and data breaches through a partnership with Concurrent Technologies Corporation, a nationally recognized cybersecurity leader.
An urgent priority for Senator Miller in the most recent budget, the announcement was made at Lehigh Valley Active Life, where he joined residents for a discussion on cybersecurity and its local impact. As Minority Chair of the Pennsylvania Senate Communications and Technology Committee, Miller said protecting local governments from evolving digital threats is a top priority.
Through this grant, both counties will receive system upgrades, risk assessments, and expert guidance to modernize and fortify their cybersecurity infrastructure. This investment will strengthen county networks, safeguard residents’ personal and financial information, and improve emergency response and government continuity in the event of an attack.
