HARRISBURG, PA – November 4, 2026 – State Senator Nick Miller (D-Lehigh/Northampton) issued the following statement following Pennsylvania Senate Democrats securing a majority for the first time in 30 years:
“Last night, Pennsylvanians made it clear that they want progress, results and a government that works for them. For the first time in 30 years, Senate Democrats have secured a majority in the Pennsylvania Senate, creating a new opportunity to move our commonwealth forward. For too long, important priorities have stalled while Pennsylvania families face rising costs, young people struggle to find opportunities to build their futures, seniors need greater support to age with dignity, and our communities look for solutions to keep residents safe. We cannot afford to let these challenges go unaddressed.
This moment is an opportunity, but it also comes with a responsibility to deliver. My priorities have not changed, and neither has my commitment to the people I represent. I look forward to working with my Senate colleagues to advance meaningful solutions, strengthen our communities, and make Pennsylvania a place where every family can succeed. Pennsylvanians expect us to get to work, and that is exactly what I intend to do.”
